COVID-19 Safety & Health Guidelines

As of December 28, 2022 (We will update according to the policies dictated by ACPHD.)

The physical and emotional health of our campers and our staff is our number one priority, and we are committed to limiting exposure to Covid-19 in all of our camps. The situation continues to be ever-changing. We will continue to follow the advice of expert medical sources and adjust our policies accordingly.

Safety

  • Children will be in stable cohorts of no more than 15 children.
  • Each group of children will be supervised by 2 consistent staff members and will not interact with other groups.
  • Children will be asked to sanitize frequently and wash hands as often as is possible depending on our schedules throughout the day.
  • UAC will provide hand-sanitizer for adults and children to use when they arrive at camp and during the day.

Measures to Protect Employee and Campers Health

  • All employees have been told not to come to work if sick.
  • Please keep your children at home if they are sick.
  • We provide contactless payment, registration, and check-in/out systems or, if not feasible, we sanitize registration and check-in/out systems regularly.
  • Campers should bring their own lunch and reusable water bottle. No food or drink is to be shared by campers.

Masks

  • Currently we ask that campers wear masks on public transportation and encourage them to wear them in close confined indoor spaces.

Sickness or a Positive Covid-19 test:

Please do not send your child to camp with any symptoms of Covid-19. If your child is ill and stays home for a day or develops symptoms during the camp day and is sent home, we ask that you 1.) keep your child home until symptoms have resolved and 2.) provide a negative rapid test for the morning your child returns to camp.

If your camper within 10 days before camp or during camp, please contact us immediately so that we can advise on next steps.

Camp Cancellation due to Covid-19

If your child cannot attend camp because they have contracted Covid-19 within the past 10 days we will need a doctor’s note confirming the diagnosis before we are able to roll over your camp tuition to another open week later in the summer 2024 (camp tuition cannot be rolled over to any other camp season beyond summer 2024). If you choose to decline Please refer to our standard cancellation policy.

Note: Tuition roll overs will not be offered for partial weeks.
