UAC is a unique experience that allows your children to discover more about their interests while exploring and navigating their city using public transportation.
Summer Camps:
During the summer we offer unique week-long day camps for children ages 8-15. Camp begins each morning at Rockridge Bart in Oakland where campers meet their group and begin their day’s adventure. Groups take a different field trip every day of the week to visit the Bay Area’s top museums, science centers, parks, galleries, and various other urban attractions and city centers. Public transportation is used to travel between locations, thereby developing the campers’ knowledge and confidence when traveling within a city. Instructors are credentialed teachers that know the subject. Each session focuses on one of the following subject areas: physical science, natural science, history, and art.
– Exciting daily trips to museums and urban attractions
– Weekly themes include history, science, and art
– Friendship + Teamwork + Leadership + Fun
– Excited and knowledgeable instructors
– Open to boys and girls ages 8-15
– Pre and post camp day care available
– One-week sessions (Mon – Fri) from 8am – 4pm
– Drop off and pick up at designated BART stations
– Navigate the Bay Area using public transportation
